THE BACK STORY

Growing up on a farm, I had an amazing landscape to let my imagination run free. This imagination led me to believe I was on the frontline in world war 1 or running through war zones in Afghanistan. For a while there I even believed I was the real Superman! Knowing I could never grow up to be Clark Kent I settled for the next best thing, ACTING!
I told my parents at the age of 7 that I wanted to be an actor! I was extremely lucky to have a family that fully supported my passion.  They wanted me to wait a while to see if it was just a phase - I was certainly the kid who went through a few phases in my life!

When I was 12 I asked again if I could go to acting lessons.  They finally said yes and I had my very first acting lesson at the Warehouse Workshop! I was hooked!

My folks continued to drive me 800kms almost every school holiday to do a workshop somewhere!  We even flew to Sydney for NIDA classes when I was 13 and Melbourne to 16th street when I was 14!

At the age of 15, I moved away to attend boarding school in Brisbane for no other reason but to pursue my acting even further.
I didn't spend much time on campus at School! I was either at the Gold Coast for Stunt lessons at AP8 with Keir Beck or in the city of Brisbane at the Factory with Christopher Sommers!

During my 3 years of senior schooling, I was able to work on set, making short films and documentaries with up and coming Directors. My first ever film with Clancy Sinnamon and the crew, Calloused Hearts, concreted my passion for Acting.

The experience I gained from working with film students and people in the industry gave me a realistic vision and it wasn’t always pretty - yet I was still hooked!

My next step was to become a professional actor and to do this I would need to work with even more professionals. I went straight to the top and at the tender ages of fifteen and sixteen I worked with the likes of Elizebeth Kemp and Larry Moss!

I should probably mention once again how fantastically awesome my family is! If it wasn't for them I would never have been able to have these opportunities that have put me ahead of the game that I love so much and I am forever grateful......

After graduating year 12 I wanted to challenge myself and learn everything I could about my chosen career. I applied, auditioned, got accepted and enrolled into a 2-year diploma at Screenwise!

I packed my gear and I moved to Sydney!

2 years later and this little country boy is a bonafide professional actor!

I guess it wasn't a phase....Watch this space!
